On top of the initial lives lost, the Banthal Trade Company controls Taanabian exports. If any word of this were to get out, there could be a quarantine of the planet resulting in a crash of the economy. Then, other planets supplied by the foodstuffs grown by Taanab would suffer irreparable harm. Taanab has long remained neutral and must continue to do so for not only the sake of its citizens, but also the sake of the worlds that rely upon its exports.
If we are seen as not handling this situation on our own, certain powers may see fit to step in to “assist” us. This is where you will come in. I am appointing you as a special member of the Taanab Defense Force. Details and time of meeting will be provided to you.
